Limited Edition

Mapa Burl meets the Design Series.

Enjoy eye-catching exotic woods on limited-edition Design Series drums featuring figured Exotic Mapa Burl over European Birch shells.

Mapa Burl veneers with a natural matte finish create a striking Custom Shop look, while European Birch shells deliver explosive attack, dynamic tone, controlled sustain, and trusted DW Design Series playability.

Limited quantities available.

Product Overview

For the first time ever, a premium Exotic is available on a Design Series® shell pack. This limited offering features highly figured Mapa Burl over 8-ply European Birch shells with patented HVLT (Horizontal Vertical Low Timbre) grain-orientation technology built in.

These shells deliver ample attack, a punchy, warm fundamental and controlled resonance that's perfectly suited for a variety of playing situations. Pro-grade drum hardware includes low-mass mini turret lugs, graduated triple-flange hoops, STM (Suspension Tom Mounts), True-Pitch Tuning, and Remo heads.

This 4-piece shell pack offers 7x10″ and 8x12″ mounted toms, a 16x16″ floor tom, and a 16x22″ bass drum. Finished in an understated natural matte lacquer, these Design Series Exotics look as good as they sound.

Matching 10-ply snare sold separately.

STM (Suspension Tom Mounts)

Hardware that provides masterful support and resonance.

True Pitch Tuning

Extra threads to dial in your tuning while reducing unwanted slippage.

Graduated Triple Flange Hoops

Chrome Steel Triple Flange Counter Hoops come in graduated weights.

Features:

  • Exotic Mapa Burl veneers

  • HVLT European Birch shells

  • Mini-turret lugs

  • STM (Suspension Tom Mounts)
